About Ms. Eden

Eden Mascarenhas is a pianist, vocalist, performer, and dedicated music educator with over eight years of teaching and performance experience. Originally from India and now based in Toronto, she has helped more than 100 students of varying ages, abilities, and musical backgrounds develop their skills and confidence in music.

Eden previously operated her own music school in India, where she taught piano, vocals, music theory, and musicianship. She holds a Grade 8 Piano certification from Trinity College London, recognized as equivalent to RCM Grade 10 Piano, along with certifications in Vocals and Music Theory.

Her teaching experience spans preschoolers, children, teens, and adults in both private and group settings, including students with diverse learning needs. She tailors lessons to each student's learning style and goals, incorporating technique, music theory, ear training, sight-reading, musicianship, and performance skills in a supportive and engaging environment.

Eden believes music education should inspire creativity, self-expression, discipline, and joy. Whether students are preparing for exams, performances, or learning for personal enjoyment, she strives to make every lesson rewarding and enjoyable.

In addition to teaching, Eden continues to perform professionally as a pianist and vocalist at weddings, private events, corporate functions, hotels, and restaurants in both India and Canada. She is excited to be part of the Musical Roots Studio community and looks forward to helping students build confidence, discover their musical potential, and develop a lifelong love of music.
